Assessment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and its impact on the electric grid: A review

Electric vehicles (EVs) have a huge potential to dominate over the conventional combustion engine and become future of road transport while conserving this planet from threatening calamities caused by global warming. EVs offer several benefits internal engines, especially in terms lower emission greenhouse gases, higher energy efficiency, less dependency upon fossil fuels. Despite all that, range anxiety, charging infrastructure are two significant limiting factors for rapid adoption EVs. This paper presents thorough literature review on latest deployment, challenging issues implementation EV infrastructure, power levels, conjunction with various methods examines impacts electric grid.
